Sarah Gustafson
Ph.D. Student in Government

Sarah is a sixth year PhD candidate in the Government Department (Political Theory). Her research focuses on nineteenth century political thought, particularly French and American, but her broader interests include religion and political theory and the history of Western political philosophy. She has been a Teaching Fellow for Ancient and Medieval Political Philosophy, The Political Thought of the French Revolution, Justice, Conservatism and its Critics, and Deliberative Justice (Extension School). Most recently, she taught her own syllabus for Gov 97, Anxiety and Restlessness in Democratic Times.
