Salvador is a PhD candidate in Political Economy and Government at Harvard University. He studies a variety of topics related to the political economy of development, with a regional focus in Latin America and a quantitative approach. His main topics of interest are fiscal underdevelopment and weakness of the state, clientelism and the stability of party systems. Before coming to Harvard, he served as a Director and an Advisor at the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit of Mexico from 2014 to 2018. He holds a BA in Economics and a BA in Political Science from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM).
