Aleksandra Conevska
Ph.D. Student in Government

Aleksandra Conevska is a PhD student in the Department of Government. Her work focuses broadly on the political economy of climate change, and more specifically on how institutional features, electoral design, and party politics affect climate change policy and what motivates pro-climate behaviour. Her current projects attempt to explain what motivates pro-climate behaviour amongst youth, whether Green Parties affect environmental policy, and how income shocks affect environmental policy and outcomes.

Some of Aleksandra’s previous research looks at how natural disasters affect trade and the institutional design and capacity of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Her work has been published in journals including International Studies Quarterly, Climate Policy, Climate and Development, and Energy Research & Social Science.

Aleksandra is currently a Fellow at The Sustainability Transparency Accountability Research (STAR) Lab and the Institute for Quantitative Social Science (IQSS). She also works alongside Professor Dustin Tingley helping facilitate the Harvard Fellows at the Forefront program.
