Ahmet Akbiyik
Ph.D. Student in Government

I am a Ph.D. candidate in Political Economy and Government at Harvard Kennedy School, specializing in migration, social cohesion, misinformation, and media’s impact on public opinion. I am affiliated with The Weatherhead Center for International Affairs and The Institute for Quantitative Social Science (IQSS), and my work employs experiments, quantitative methods, and surveys, with a focus on Europe and the Middle East and North Africa. Beyond my research, I have contributed as a teaching assistant for classes on data (GOV 50), survey methodology (GOV 1010), and randomized controlled trials (GOV 1737).

My research interests lie in political economy, migration, social cohesion and social media.
