Hey everyone! I’m Silvana Yarrington (pronounced Seel-vah-nah), but I also go by “Silver.” I’m a senior at Eliot House, pursuing a double concentration in Econ and Government, along with a language citation in French. I’m thrilled to be one of your Government PCCs this year! I grew up in Mexico and crossed the border daily to study in Texas. This is what initially sparked my passion for labor migration and immigration reform. Currently, my interests in Government include comparative politics, international relations, and exploring the role of morality in shaping U.S. foreign policy. A standout experience for me was my sophomore government tutorial on grand strategy and U.S. foreign policy; it remains one of my favorite Government classes to date. Outside of class, I work as the treasurer for International Relations on Campus (IRoC) and am excited to continue my role as a PAF. I genuinely enjoy connecting with people and providing guidance whenever needed. So, if you ever have questions or seek advice, please don’t hesitate to reach out! I’m always up for discussions on academic opportunities, study abroad experiences, or just about anything else. Looking forward to meeting all of you!
