Shivram Viswanathan is a graduate student in the Political Economy and Government program. He uses a combination of statistical and economic tools with formal theoretical modeling to answer questions surrounding political economy, development, creativity and innovation across a variety of contexts. Prior to this, Shivram graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in Economics and Mathematics, after which he worked as a research analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, conducting research on corporate and household finance, as well as developing statistical models for the Dodd-Frank Act stress tests. He also was a Henry Luce Scholar in South Korea and Taiwan. He is currently an affiliate at the Institute for Quantitative Social Science (IQSS) and at the Center for American Political Studies (CAPS).
