I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Government and a James M. and Cathleen D. Stone PhD Scholar in Inequality and Wealth Concentration. My research focuses on how political parties, social movements, and interest groups in the United States — and particularly at the subnational level — influence aspects of the policymaking and electoral processes. In my dissertation project, I examine state-level political party organizations and the contexts in which they are electorally consequential. Before beginning graduate school, I received my B.A. in Political Science at Carleton College.
