Hi everyone! My name is Kejsi Demaj and although I am originally from Albania, I was raised in Boston, MA. I am a senior in Quincy House, concentrating in Government with a citation in French.
My interests in Government are diverse, encompassing mass incarceration, prison abolition, international human rights law, and public safety. At Harvard, I have had the privilege of serving as a Research Assistant in the Government and Sociology Department. Additionally, I have been a course assistant for GOV 94BF – #AbolishPolice: The Politics of Public Safety in the Age of Social Media.
Beyond the classroom, I am actively involved in campus life. I serve as President of Harvard Undergraduate Mock Trial and Harvard Undergraduate Women in Law. When I’m not engaged in academic or extracurricular activities, I enjoy running (currently training for my first half marathon!), hosting elaborate dinner parties, and planning my next travels.
My time in the Government department has been incredibly rewarding. If you’re considering studying abroad or pursuing law school, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I am very excited to connect with all of you and share more about my experiences.
