Hojung Joo is a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Government at Harvard University (2024-2025). She studies wars, violence, and state-building with an empirical focus on Korea. Her work examines how state violence and wartime mobilization alter the lives of ordinary citizens and their communities.
