Thom Wall

This year, I celebrated 20 years as a member of the Department of Government. Throughout these years, I have experienced the rapidly changing environment of higher education, and I have found pride in my ability to respond quickly to both faculty and graduate students as we (collectively) navigate changing needs. As an academic administrator, I approach everyone both equally and holistically in terms of student services and problem solving.  

I hope our graduate students know that they can count on my support as they navigate difficult academic, financial, or personal situations, and that I will do so with the utmost compassion and discretion. I understand the unique circumstances of being in graduate school, and I am always thinking of creative solutions to these issues. I often describe my work self as a mother hen that tends/sees to the needs of their students with great pride and joy.
